Owned and Used by renowned guitarists Matthias Jabs (Scorpions) and John Norum (Europe).

1978 Hiwatt Custom 50 amplifier extensively used by Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs and Europe guitarist John Norum in studios and during live performances (confirmation email available from Matthias Jabs).

This amplifier was Matthias Jabs’ main amplifier used by him worldwide for studio recordings and live performances. He personally bought the amplifier in 90s in Vancouver (Canada).

Matthias Jabs used this particular Hiwatt Custom 50 in the Little Mountain Sound studios (Vancouver) for the recording of the well-known Scorpions album Face The Heat (1993).

A few years later, Matthias Jabs used this amplifier for studio recordings for the Scorpions album Pure Instict (1995).

During this period he also used this amplifier for live performances.

Preferred settings are still visible - see tape on the control plate.

After this period, Europe guitarist John Norum bought the amplifier and mainly used it in his home studio.

The amplifier is in good and used condition, sounds amazing. Has a fan modification on the side to cool the tubes and electronics which is currently not connected.

230v - all original except for a couple cool personal modifications done by the guitarists.

This amplifier was Matthias Jabs' favorite amplifier in the studio and on stage.
